Rakkyō ラッキョウ

Rakkyō (Allium Chinense) is a type of Japanese scallion or shallot. Originally from China, it is widely cultivated throughout East and South-East Asia. It has a mild flavour that offsets strong flavours, and is most often found in Japan in a pickled form that is served with curry.
